Two more weeks before Christmas

Just a reminder we have two more weeks of badminton to go before Christmas so it'd be good to see lots of you down on Tuesday.

Also since we're currently very quiet in terms of numbers if anyone would like a chance to practice shots rather than just playing games please speak to me or Les and we'll be happy to spend some time working on this with you.

Badminton is on tomorrow!

Just to let you know that badminton will be on at Trinity tomorrow night so hope to see lots of you there.

New Badminton Season

Chingford Badminton Club's 2013-2014 season starts this coming Tuesday, 3rd September, at 8pm at Trinity so hope lots of you can make it down.

Membership rates remain the same as last year, £200 for the full year of 40 weeks or £7 per week for pay and play.

No badminton this week

Just a reminder that the club isn't on this week but will start up again next week, Tuesday 3rd September, for the new season.

Club on again this week

Just to let you know that the club is back at Trinity school this Tuesday, 25th June, and will be playing there for the next 8 weeks up to and including Tuesday 13th August.

Club AGM

Just a reminder that the club will be holding our AGM this coming Tuesday, 18th June, at the Toby Carvery in Buckhurst Hill (http://www.tobycarvery.co.uk/buckhursthillessex/).  The meeting will start at 8pm but if you'd like to join us for some food first we will be there from 7pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend but if you're unable to make it and there's something you'd like us to discuss on the evening please do let me know in advance.

Also don't forget that we will be returning to Trinity for our regular Tuesday evening badminton the following week, 25th June, so hope to see lots of you back then.

Badminton this week

I've managed to book a court at Peter May sports centre for this Wednesday, 12th June, from 8pm to 10pm so hope some of you can make it.  Please try and let me know if you plan to come along so I have some idea of numbers.

Club Update

Unfortunately we haven't managed to organise any club sessions these past few weeks.  We've been attempting to book a court at Peter May but have failed to get our usual 8-10pm slot on Tuesday.  However, we may be able to book a court from 7-9 instead or for a different night during the week.  If anyone would like to play then please get in touch and let me know which evenings and what times you can manage and I'll try to organise some games.

Also, looking ahead, we'll be holding our AGM on Tuesday June 18th at 8pm at the Toby Carvery in Buckhurst Hill and we will be back at Trinity for the last 6 weeks on the 25th June.

No badminton this week - school exam period

Unfortunately last week was our final session before the school exams start at Trinity and so we won't be able to use the sports hall again until mid June.

We're attempting to find other venues to use for a few of the Tuesdays until then but unfortunately haven't managed to find anything yet and so there won't be any badminton this week.

Free court on Friday

Just to let you know there's a match on at Trinity this Friday from 8pm to 10pm and so there will be a spare court available if anyone wants to come down and play.  It'll be £4 per person and you can give me the money on Tuesday if I'm not there.  If you do plan to come along then let me know just in case there are too many/few people who want to play.

Easter break

Hope everyone has had a good Easter weekend.  

Just a quick reminder that there's no badminton this week or next during the school holidays but we'll be back on Tuesday 16th April at 8pm.

Free court tomorrow

Just to let you know that there's a match on at Trinity tomorrow evening (Friday) and so one court will be free if anyone wants to come along and use it from 8 to 10pm.  It's £4 per person and I may well be there but if not then you can pass me any money at the next session.  If you do think you might be there please do drop me a quick email just in case there's too few/many people who want to come.

Also, I've checked with the school and confirmed that we will be able to use the sports hall next week so hope to see lots of you there on Tuesday (19th February).
